Originally from Northern Ontario and now based in Revelstoke, BC, Kyra discovered river tripping on a month-long trip that sparked a lasting love for life on the water. She started guiding young children at summer camp in 2013 and has always dreamed of paddling rivers in the North. She feels lucky to now be living that dream on some of the most remote and beautiful rivers in Canada. Kyra enjoys the sense of community that forms on trips and sees canoe expeditions as a great way to bring people together—especially over a cup of coffee in the morning or a shared meal at the end of the day.
Outside of guiding, she can be found paddling whitewater in her solo canoe, rock climbing (even when it’s a little scary), cozied up with a book and a hot drink, skiing, or keeping busy in the kitchen cooking and baking for whoever’s around!
