| Arrival | We require that travellers arrive in Norman Wells the day before they embark on their expedition. |
| Day 1 | Charter flight to Duo Lakes for day of hiking in one of the most beautiful places in the north. The view is spectacular. |
| Day 2 | Portage to the river over a well-marked trail that spans the valley. |
| Day 3-12 | Paddle the river through the painted mountains, through broad valleys with towering mountains. The river starts small and fast, a bit rocky. The canyons offer challenging moments with their snaking turns and fast chutes. Then after Reptile Creek, the river grows in size and finds its way through excellent whitewater runs. It offers excitement in the two areas where the river splits into a myriad of channels. Excellent grayling fishing. A short canyon at the halfway point may be runnable or could require a short portage. |
| Day 13 | We enter the Peele River Valley and the confluence with the Peel River and paddle down to the Taco Bar for our final camp. |
| Day 14 | Return charter flight to Norman Wells and and final night dinner at the Canoe North Adventures Lodge (not included).. |
| Departure | Travellers will depart Norman Wells after breakfast the following morning. |
