The Canoe North Adventures Lodge and Outfitting Centre
Officially opened in July 2011, the CNA Lodge B&B and Outfitting Centre is unlike any other canoeing facility in northern Canada. It serves as a canoeing resource and training centre, and a full-service Lodge B&B with accommodation and meals. The handsome timber-frame and log structure was expertly handcrafted by the Canoe North Adventures guide team. It is strategically located in Norman Wells at the North-Wright Air Float Base because of the close proximity to the glorious rivers of the Mackenzie Mountains in the Sahtu Region. The centre puts your group just yards away from the docks for the Twin Otter and Pilatus Porter floatplanes. With this world-class facility, Canoe North Adventures is the only guiding company that provides outstanding personalized service from the moment your plane lands in Norman Wells to begin your trip until the moment you depart for home having experienced your trip of a lifetime.
The Lodge B&B and Outfitting Centre was created to provide convenience and inexpensive comfort for you in Norman Wells. We are committed to providing clean, comfortable accommodation in a friendly cottage-like environment with a stunning view of DOT Lake and Hammar Mountain. Our hearty breakfasts are included with your overnight stay and reservations for lunch or a three-course dinner should be made in advance.
The comfortable and extensive amenities we offer are designed specifically to assist your last-minute trip preparations and to celebrate your adventure upon your return. This includes 2 doubles, 2 queens and a quad bunkroom. We have 2 shared bathrooms including showers, a laundry facility, TV lounge, resource library, full kitchen, dining area, coffee bar, internet, phone, wrap-around deck, barbecue, freezer and storage facilities. We also manage the adjacent North-Wright Airways (NWA) cabin which has bunks and mattresses for 10 guests, two bathrooms with showers as well as kitchen and laundry facilities. Two vehicles are available for transportation to and from the airport and town shopping-centre.
