I grew up in Ontario and spent my youth paddling various river and lakes while going to summer camp. When I was thirteen, I had my first northern paddling experience with Canoe North Adventures when my grandparents took me on a trip down the Big Salmon and Yukon River. When I graduated high school I moved west and spent 8 years in Canmore, Alberta pursuing the sport of cross-country ski racing. In 2013 I transitioned to life as a student and completed the Adventure Guide training program at TRU. I continued on to finish a degree in Adventure Business and Entrepreneurship and I am now working on a Masters of Environmental Science. My current research focuses on sustainable trail management practices for backcountry environments. I am an ACMG hiking guide, and for the past several years I have been planning, organizing and leading multi-day canoe trips for Nipika Mountain Resort in the Rocky Mountains. I am excited to return to CNA for the upcoming summer and can’t wait to share some spectacular days on the river with you!
