Growing up in Toronto, Lin was involved in summer camp, cottage days near Haliburton and horseback riding in Caledon. Lin has always had an adventurous spirit and was introduced to canoe-tripping in 1984 on a life-altering Spanish River canoe adventure. Her love of riding horses inspired her to engage with and appreciate the natural world at every opportunity. Lin was a business consultant in the 1990’s after attaining her MBA from the Schulich School at York University in Toronto. She also has her private pilots license which helped prepare her for a life of adventure! Lin’s extensive paddling resume spans twenty-five years and thousands of river miles in the Yukon and Northwest Territories. She prides herself in coaching Canoe North Adventures trippers to develop detail and style in their paddle strokes and fully understand the hydro-dynamics that is involved in moving a paddle-blade effectively through the water.  Lin is a whitewater specialist and she LOVES releasing her canoe to the BIG WATER with enthusiasm and conviction. Consider yourself fair warned if you find yourself paddling in Lin’s canoe!  As a Canoe North Adventures owner-operator, Lin is responsible for administration and general management of our Norman Wells Lodge facility and of course, she enjoys time guiding on her favourite rivers.
