Jill was drawn to Canada’s north long before she arrived there. She has been paddling and participating in many other backcountry adventure since childhood. Her love for the north was solidified upon her first trip as a Canoe North Adventures client in Yukon in the 90’s, after meeting Al and Lin through Al’s beautiful pottery. Jill grew up in Nova Scotia and has since lived in Ontario and now Northern B.C.; always seeking to connect with nature. Jill has paddled with CNA as a client in the 2000’s on the Mountain River with her husband and on the Keele River with her husband and daughter. She has also guided on the Yukon River. Jill lived in Atlin, BC near Whitehorse for several years.   She presently lives near Smithers, BC in a cozy timber-frame home overlooking mountain ranges with her husband, daughter, 3 dogs, a cat, a rabbit,  a Paint Horse and a Clydesdale. Jill works as a Speech Language Pathologist and is a rug hooker and ukulele player. If you go on a trip with Jill, count on some sing-songing and down east hospitality!
