Brent grew up in the Algonquin Park area where his love of paddling came naturally, as his father built wood-canvas canoes for a living. While attending and working at Camp Pathfinder for over 25 years, Brent has paddled thousands of kilometers in the Canadian Shield and Quebec headwaters. Some of his favourites are the Dumoine, Coulonge, Missinaibi, Petawawa, and White rivers. While exploring in his post-camp years, Brent has paddled the Moisie, the Kesagami, and the George Rivers. Brent is an English teacher at Trinity College School, where he serves as an Assistant Head of House, coach, and student advisor.
